zorrow Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I want to buy an early 80's non-tremolo-ed Vector in good player condition. I'm talking about the sustain-block-equipped ones, like these guitars here: <http://www.hamerfanclub.com/vector.html> BTW, I am even considering trading my Vector KK for a Vector, as now I like better the chunkier neck of the "plain" Vector -- I am now hooked to these necks thanks to the blueburst I purchased from Peter, which I can't stop playing. Of course, if we go with a trade we'll have to discuss about the differences in price, as my Vector KK is not what I would call a cheap guitar. In either case, please PM me with your proposals, descriptions and pictures -- Hey! Not your pictures, but your Vector's!
zorrow Posted May 11, 2007 Author Posted May 11, 2007 what motiff and whatcha wanna speand.. Price is not an issue at this moment -- but please use your common sense and play fair! About the motif, the ones I like the less are the Schenker models -- I prefer wearing my own clothes, thanks. Ideally, I would like to find a maple topped, in order to get more "cut" on the leads, but full color or natural or "whatever-burst" are all alright to me. Anything out there for me then?
belgian Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Good luck, I was two years looking for one, 'till I got the one from Pirateflynn. Beside one overpriced in Germany at 1500 $, I never saw another one on the market.

The maple tops are a paper-thin veneer that doesn't add anything to the tone as far as I've ever been able to discern. If a non-flame one pops up that suits otherwise, grab it and don't feel any guilt!

zorrow Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 BUMP! C'mon guys, I do want a Vector! Cash some money in with that 81 Vector you no longer play! BTW, I'm definitively putting my Vector KK for sale. The thinner neck feels weird to me now I got so used to my Vector 84; and in addition I'm no longer into whammy bar acrobatics, so I definitively don't need a Kahler -- I'll post a FS thread in short, but you can already start PM'ing me.
zorrow Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 A little bump -- I want this add on the first page, so guys I swear you'll start seeing my mug around pretty often... I said I wanted a Vector! BTW, so far the only one I'm free to buy has a pickguard -- which I don't like too much. But I'm starting to get more flexible: I could also like a Schenker model now!
zorrow Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 Alright, how about one 'meeelion' dollars? That's fine! Just ship it to me and I'll pay you later. :-D
