The are LP replicas built by a very famous luthier who was given a cease and desist by Gibson. His guitars now sell for around 4-5K, these sell for more because of their rarity and obviously the shape. Gibson doesn't make anything close to this.

That much i have figured out but who and when. Please respond in PM if this is a hush hush type matter. I feel stupid asking on the gear page.

Well, Keebler Elves bake cookies, so, umm, you should be able to figure it out from there. Honestly, I'm not sure why it's kept such a big mystery. I mean, Gibson already knows who he is, so it's not like anyone is being protected by not mentioning his name.

IIRC it is common knowledge, but I don't want to risk it. Check your PMs. He did these a few years ago right before he went under the first time.

Why is this such a secret to everybody? Anybody who is going to lay out the cash for one already knows that. For anybody who isn't going to buy one, why does it matter if they're kept in the dark by those "in the know"??

It's not like it's that scary dude from the Harry Potter books...

I know a guy who has owned many Les Pauls. He sold them all for a Keebler and loved it. Later, he got into conversions and owned two, one of which was incredible. Earlier this year he took a shot with a '59 VOS Historic and swears that it is the best LP he has ever played!

He probably is chasing that elusive Les Paul magic thing just a tad but I have heard from a lot of guys that the new Historics are very, very good.

The two Keeblers that have been for sale this past week have got me thinking ....... trigger finger thinking.
