kizanski Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I just picked up a '96 Studio which the previous owner had installed a PhatCat in the bridge.I cant think of another application for a PatCat that could be more wrong than in the bridge position of a maple-topped solid body, but there it sits. And there it will continue to sit until I have a replacement. You see, much to my chagrin, the parts draw that used to house an inordinate number of zebra and double creme 'buckers is now empty. Many of you must have a spare and since I have no use for this pickup, I'd like to trade someone for a bridge pickup, change it out, and then send whomever I trade with the PhatCat. I'd like to do it in that order so the guitar is not sitting without strings for too long. So, tell me whatchagot.I'm open to pretty much any brand, but to retain "The Look", I'd prefer double creme.
Guest Meshuggah Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I'm here to tell ya, those guitars want a standard Fralin 9K HB in 'em. Yessiree, why back when we had to walk 10 miles in the snow to a guitar shop (I was living in PA at the time), well pardner, I just ferget.
unfun 75 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I have a double creme Dimarzio SD that I'll sell ya for $20 + shipping... I don't need or want a PhatCat.
Disturber Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Mid 80's Dimarzio PAF in double creem, mounted on an 1981- or 82 Duncan bass plate? Pickup sounds great and is in cosmetically very good condition.

Nope, It's the one I bought to get a Dimarzio baseplate from so I could stick it to the Hamer Dimarzio neck pup I bought from you! And you corrected me, as it's got square feet the Dimarzio PAF that I got is also a 70's one..
