nosajwp Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Does anyone here have a minty translucent finished T-62, Diablo, or Centaura for sale? I'm in the market to pick one up, so here's what I'm looking for:- prefer black hardware on the Diablo/Centaura; hardware color doesn't matter on the T-62- prefer single translucent colors (not bursts); ideally Aztec Gold or Mary Kaye White- needs to have original case if possibleThe one caveat is that I'm looking for one of these that's in near-new condition, without any cosmetic or functional blemishes to speak of. Looking to pay around $500-600, but will pay a little more if the condition justifies it.
KH Guitar Freak Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 If you aren't that picky, there's a trans Hamer Daytona on ebay right now...
silentman Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I don't think you're gonna find a daytona in Aztec. BubbaVO's got a centura for sale right now check it out.
nosajwp Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 That Centaura is nice, but I'm not really into bursts (except maybe on a T-62).I'm also not really looking at Daytonas because I like the smaller sized bodies of the models I listed.I might also be interested in a Cali depending on the color.
belgian Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Never saw an original case for a T-62, I was told they were sold without.
BubbaVO Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Check out that Robin Medley. It would be fun to pull that all together. Then you could finish it pretty much how you wanted to.
serial Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Never saw an original case for a T-62, I was told they were sold without. Not true. I had two (just the cases). Some shops apparently sold them w/o the cases. I got two cases online from a GC-type outfit years back and both had T-62 warranty cards in the case pocket (along with the keys and tools).
belgian Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I bought one of my T-62's from the representative from the company that imported Hamer in the '90's over here. He told me none of the T-62's came with a case. Might have been export policy.
nosajwp Posted February 28, 2008 Author Posted February 28, 2008 Bump...Come out, come out, wherever you are!
BubbaVO Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 There's a Diablo on EBay. And a Centaura that's very similar to mine, too.
holLoWskull Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Still looking.I sent you an e-mail about a Diablo I last week. Did you get the e-mail?
Camstone Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 This T62 has been on the Seattle Craigslist for months and the seller (not me) keeps dropping the price. It started at $900 and now is down to $500.Link
nosajwp Posted March 3, 2008 Author Posted March 3, 2008 The two mentioned on eBay do have some dings on them, which I'm trying to avoid. After thinking about what I really need, I'm going to mainly focus on a Diablo or Centaura. I'm open to just about any color, as long as you can see the woodgrain through it (except bursts), it has black hardware, and is in mint condition.
silentman Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 It's getting harder and harder to find a minty Hamer of that style being that they've been out of production for 10 years or more. Why not consider a lesser grade?
nosajwp Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Unfortunately, I have always had a bad case of OCD, especially when it comes to my guitars. If you were to look at what I have currently, you would think they had never been played, but I play them rather frequently.
nosajwp Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Bump...still looking guys. Anyone out there have a minty Diablo or Centaura they would consider selling?
silentman Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Unclear if this is still available... It was pretty clean from what I remember.http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...c=24859&hl=
barneyrumble Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I know this one does not meet your original specs...but check the Centura in my profile and let me know if you are interested.I sold it to a close friend who is getting ready for a major life change (marriage) and he may be interested in selling. The guitar is a burst, which I know you were not interested in as well as the non-black hardware.Thought I'd let you know about it in any case.
