No Longer For Trade. Hamer Artist Studio for PRS or Les Paul (Added Pics!)

I have a 1999 Artist GATASO. She's in near perfect condition. I'm looking to trade her for a PRS or Les Paul. I love the Artist, but I'm wanting a solid body. I might consider another Hamer if it's a solid body. It also has an LR Baggs X-Bride Piezo installed. I have the preamp and toggle, but have not installed it because I was hesitant to drill a hole for the toggle. I'll include it in the trade as well. Will be shipped with the OHSC.

Thanks,

Jim

Sweet Artist! Does it have the Vintage or Modern profile neck?

That's a good question. Define the two. I would have to say Vintage as it has a full round feel as opposed to my Ibanez which is a flatter profile. I hope that helps.

This is the only photo I have on my photobucket. I'll have to take more when I get home. As you can see, this particular guitar must have some major mojo 'cause it ain't me!!!

Too funny! Send me some good pics when you get a chance. What song were you playing at that moment :o ?

Wow. Talk about a solid body...

I'll trade you the Hamer Artist for an Ibanez Artist straight up. : )

The Vintage is around 0.90" thick, and the Modern around 0.80" thick. Either would be more round than the typical Ibanez.

I'm going for:

"Lean On Me", but that's a little too obvious

"Hot 'n' Ready" by UFO

"Drunk In Public" by Nicotine

"Drunker Than Me" by some country dude

"I Want You to Want Me"...

Hmmm... can't help you on the thickness then. Is there another way to tell. I don't have the tool to measure the neck thickness.

As for that song... I'll have to go with the Cheap Trick classic.

She's getting some nickel covered Rio Grande Bastard pups put in at a relatively nearby benchmonkey's shop. Here's a pic from EBay:

She's a beauty. I have two Ibanez'. They are fabulous guitars. A lot of bang for the buck. Enjoy!

Ted,

I will have to agree with you on that! I absolutely love the guitar but I prefer a sold body over the semi. If I don't get a serious trader, I'll keep her.

OK. We've all heard of the term, "Buyer's Remorse." Well, I'm having "Seller's/Trader's Remorse." In other words, "Snooze you loose :o ."

I'm keeping my Artist. I've been playing her this morning getting ready for tonight's set and I've decided to keep her... unless you have a solid body Hamer you would like to trade. Other than that, I'm staying in the Hamer Family  .

Thanks,

Jim

What model is this? Ibanez?

Can you part with any facts, like year, neck size, playability, everything you know?
