Jeff R Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 PRICE DROP in an attempt to keep it in the HFC family...last call before it's craiglist'ed locally this weekend. Excellent-plus condition ("showroom condition" is a fair assessment) and absolutely incredible sounding. It has two channels (one can be used for vocals if you're into the solo or two-man acoustic gig thing), effects loops, nice on-board reverb, lots of bells, whistles, etc. $500 shipped UPS Ground and insured for delivery in the continental US. E- me at natchbureau AT hotmail DOT com or fire me a PM.
DavidE Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Man, those sound good. I'd pick it up myself but now is not the time.
elduave Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Best acoustic amp ever. I swear by mine. Put a Boss Dual Overdrive in front of it and your electric will have more low end than your Mesa loving pal. And, it'll handle bass too.
veatch Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Great amp. It works well for me with the DuoTone. I also use it it for a Zeta upright bass that i push through it from time to time.Does yours have the extra handle on the bottom that doubles as a prop? Always loved that feature...
Jeff R Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 I dunno, I haven't flipped it over to see. I'll check later tonight.Worth noting as well: I was getting KILLER acoustic guitar tones out of it last night playing my G&L strat, so piezos aren't a mandate for killer tones from this amp. Middle pickup and middle/bridge together sounded the most "acoustic" to my ear, but all five pickup positions were pleasant and usable.
cmatthes Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Jeff - if I wasn't a little "happy cash" short right now, I'd take that one off your hands. I've been keeping one of those on the list since playing through Elduave's.Great amp!
Jeff R Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 It does have the hidden bottom handle. The tilt-amp-back via handle is nice, but the extra handle definitely makes moving this amp easier. It's not a fun amp to tote with just the top one.
JGale Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I want it too, but only for that SweetCajunStank™ that permaeates its pores like a tornado through a trailer park.

I'm too old to move anything that heavy with one hand. <OK, folks - if that ain't a layup for a one-liner comeback, i don't know *what* is...>
currypowder Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 A couple of stupid questions. Could this be used as a bass noodling or practice amp at fairly low volumes (with or without some sort of preamp). Again, in a lower volume practice situation, could one channel run the bass and one channel run an acoustic.

In fact, we where doing exactly that a couple of weeks ago...
currypowder Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks Dave. I did see the bass mentioned in post 3, but wanted to make sure.
