Hi there,

I am new to Hamer guitars so I am wondering if, and hoping that you guys can give me some info on a guitar I just bought..

Very nice! Centauras are gaining popularity, they've been a bit overlooked for a long time. Steve Stevens had something to do with the design, and I think he asked for the one piece neck (I believe it's the only 'modern' Hamer with a one piece neck). I've got one in black sparkle, they're like a USA Jackson, but better and half the price.

They would have been the "SSIII" if Steve had stayed on with Hamer instead of jumping ship and going to Washburn. They probably gave him free guitars and not playing with Idol probably kept him more concerned about his retirement account during that spell...

Ah, I forgot about Diablos.

Anybody have a pic of a dual Hum Centaura? I still need one of those, I think that's at the top of my Hamer 'need' list right now.

I've had two. One when Ally was around one and another when she was almost three...

FYI, I liked the black sparkle one (alder body) better than the blueburst one (ash body).

What's the deal with the big/small Hamer headstock logos on similar models? I've got two '88 Chaparral Customs, one has a small logo and the other has a big one...

The bigger logos are the "stadium logos".

Easier to read the brand from the crowd, if you know what i mean.

Some people dig the big, some the small. I like the current size. More subtle.

It's on it way as we speak. Am pretty curious and excited about this one! Another question..as I am planning on picking up a Peavey 5150 combo this weekend..does anyone have any experience with this particular combination? Off topic...and there's ANOTHER Vandenberg coming my way..hehe
