bubs_42 Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Don't know the Seller but the guitar was for sale earlier this year at Flores Music in Peoria, IL. Good Shape the only flaw was a slight chip in the horn and a crack in the headstock. Looked very Stable, Played Stable and no finnish was missing from the cracked area. It was small and started at one of the Floyd screws and when toward the fretboard if I remember correctly about an 1/8 inch. The pups are not original they were dimarzio's...http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-...1QQcmdZViewItem

bubs_42 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Good eye, I didn't look at that pic. The paint job fooled me its very well done and looks factory.
cmatthes Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Not necessarily a bad thing, it's just that that model is prone to headstock breaks for some reason - the drill through Floyd mounts at the headstock joint take away a lot of real estate around the truss rod, the necks tend to be thinner anyway, and there's the headstock/body angle to contend with. Always a good idea to check those out carefully if refinned. I've seen more of those with broken headstocks than any other Hamer I can recall. If it's a good refin and an unbroken headstock, its still at a STEAL of a price.
bubs_42 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Well, i'm glad it went to good people ..
