woodpile Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Up for sale: USA Epiphone Sheraton II in new condition with maple body, mahogany neck, abaloney/pearl inlays and Gibson New York Minis. Comes with one of the plushiest cases I've ever seen (looks like Elvis's closet). Story as I understand it is these guitars were assembled here with Japanese necks & bodies and US electronics. It is advertised to have a nitro finish but it feels more like poly. It is a beautifully made guitar. Price $1,000.00 plus actual shipping Ernie Ball Silhouette in very good condition with H/S/H PUP config, slight birdseye maple neck, 6 bolt plate and sienna sunburst finish. Sorry, but I'm not sure of the body wood or PUP's used. This is the older version with the finished neck (not oiled). Plays great and is very versatile. Comes with a HSC in fair condition. Price is $600.00 plus actual shipping Also have two Fender Stratosonics / one with 2 HBs and one single P-90 / both in new condition if anyone is interested.
woodpile Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Nice guitars and grotto, LOLfyi, the grotto is the only part of the cement pond thats worth having. I'm fillin the rest of it in when the kids move out.
cmatthes Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Both great guitars for the price. I had a long-term loan of a vintage Sheraton exactly like that (but from the '60s!) in high school. It belonged to our drummer's older brother and had been forgotten about in a closet. I repaired the missing bridge saddles and for about a year thought I'd never have to give it back. When the OB came back from college, I had to give it back. Those are great thinlines with a cool sound.
woodpile Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Bumpus to add that I'm open to trades especially for a Mirage I or 3hole Duotone
Factree Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Weren't these guitars for sale a year ago with a Newport Korina? If so, did they never sell? I am curious because that music man looks awesome...seems amazing they didnt sell back then, or yet...
woodpile Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 Yep they were, along with a Yamaha Weddington. The Weddington sold and these two didn't. I had them at higher prices and got some interest but no offers. I'm a little more motivated these days. The Silhouette is an awesome guitar. I'm selling this one because I have two of them. The one I'm keeping is 3 SC's a la strat.

Joe G Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I love that Sheraton. That is a great guitar! My brother has a '67 Epi Riviera 12 string with the mini humbuckers. I love those pickups on that body style.
anotherfreak Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 OK,is the Sheriton fully hollow, or is it centerblocked? That is a great price!
woodpile Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 OK,is the Sheriton fully hollow, or is it centerblocked? That is a great price!Sorry for the late reply. I believe the Sheraton has a full length sustain block. Maybe someone else can confirm that. I've always thought they were like an ES 335 (only this has the minis).
