pasqual12 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Was curious if anyone had an old Roland JC77 that they were looking to unload. I'm doing some stereo experimentation and this guy may do the trick.Thanks.
tomteriffic Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 My nephew has a JC-90 that he's looking to move. Says the reverb doesn't work, though. I heard it over the holidays and it's a good sounding amp in decent shape, other than the reverb. I'll follow up if you're interested.

tomteriffic Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I sent him an e-mail. I heard it in a jam situation over the holidays and other than no reverb, it seemed to be working just fine. Looked pretty decent too.
geoff_hartwell Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hi guys! Having owned several of both, I can say that the 77 and the 90 are notorious for having the reverb go out. Even if you fix it, it'll fail again eventually. But don't sweat it - other than that they're BULLET PROOF and sound great. Geoff
tomteriffic Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Pasqual, PM's don't seem to be working for me.e me at tomterifficATearthlinkdotnet
Brooks Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 watched an old king crimson video over xmas.surprizing how good belews strat/big muff/JC120 sounded(you'd think that combo would be a disaster).
geoff_hartwell Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I can't tell you how many times I've gotten snide comments before, and incredulous compliments after. Especially the self-appointed Blues Police. The fact is they're GREAT amps with tons of headroom, and they're rugged and reliable. Geoff
pasqual12 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Thanks everyone. After hearing about the reverb issues, I may give it more thought about the 77 or 90's.
Brooks Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 reverb-schmeverb. reverb is for pussies. in college, my tube amp went down before a gig, so i borrowed my roomies jc-77. i was surprized that it sounded pretty decent(ran a scholtz rockman distortion generator for gain sounds).
Feynman Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 There is a 2x10 on Phoenix Craigslist for $300. I know nothing about these, so I have no idea if the price is fair or not.http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/msg/975834877.html
