geoff_hartwell Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I have tons of hollow and semi-hollow Hamers. Always wanted a hamer shredder. Did they make any Diablos with a 24 3/4" scale or just chapps? Let me know what you got. Geoff
Guest JackButler Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nothing that I know of that would qualify as a short scale shredder but the set neck Chaps and a Steve Stevens maybe.. at lease AFAIK in the normal/non-custom order side of things.. all other "shred" types were 25.5.Not accounting for Blitzs, KK's etc.
geoff_hartwell Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 Hi Kev!I had thought that there were certain chappies that were 24 3/4... I tried to look up on the front page but no dice. Did that function go away?
Brooks Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 i'd like a 24.75 hamer shredder too!i had a SS, it was cool but i never liked the look of those (ok, i'm shallow). the early chaps are set neck & 24.75, so thats the ticket.there was a zulu special w/ a kahler on ebay, dunno if that counts.i've got pawn shop prize ibanez sabre ltd that's in pieces, waiting for stikes next batch of bass-boat sparkle finishes. its 25.75", but i got for $75!!

ZR Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 A Peavey Destiny from 1989-94 is a Chap-like, set-neck, USA made, short scale shredder. They had a few more out at the time but I'm not sure of their scale length.

geoff_hartwell Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Tons of hollow and semi-hollow Hamers? Those are the good ones! Quite right! And I have too many guitars anyway...But sometimes you just want a burger, you know? Thanks for the tip. Love the stadium logo on the reverse headstock. Rawk. \^^/

Man, all I want is a 22-24 (doesn't have to be 24), double humbucker, hard-tail "shredder," with the Super Strat/Soloist body. That's all I ask I can't find any for the life of me. If only Diablos came in hard-tails.
