I want to trade a butt-load of decent import guitars for one good guitar. Make me an offer and let's see what we can work out.

Most of them are in my signature block, but here is a complete listing:

Basic set:

Import Hamer Centaura (trem stays in tune, seems good quality workmanship)

Slammer Special (black)

Ibanez GRG 121 (24 fret, hardtail bridge, H/H, silver)

JB Player Sledghammer

Westone Spectrum 1A w/ Yamaha trem and 2 Mighty-Mite Motherbucker pickups + 1 Carvin AP11 (H/S/H)

import XT Californian (damaged paint, electronically sound)

I'd be looking for about a $500-600 guitar in trade for these 6. I'll be paying shipping for 6 guitars! Each is worth around $100 on eBay.

Optional swapouts and/or additions to sweeten deal:

import Hamer Stellar 1 with damaged nut (otherwise flawless)

Carvin Bolt (kit made under supervision from Carvin: great action, birdseye maple fingerboard)

import Hamer Californian (red w/ dot inlay)

import Hamer Californian Deluxe (black w/ import boomer inlay)

Fernandes Revolver Pro w/ Sustainer (trem stays in tune, some paint damage)

These are worth $200-500 on ebay.

Eh, most likely no one is interested in the marginal/decent import guitars.

What was cut off in the sub-title was that I seem to be taking on the "clown" role on this site, so I might as well live it to the hilt, right?

My GAS is starting to subside as I really hone in on what I lust for in a guitar. I love shredders. I'm not a shredder, but I love 'em. I gotta have at least one fixed bridge guitar, and that's the XT SATF, but I don't think I'll ever part with the USA Diablo, USA Centaura, or two Vandy's. They just capture my imagination (guitar hero fantasy) too dang well.

So the other ones are superfluous. I had to lust after 'em and buy 'em to realize: they aren't the drug I really need. So now I gotta see if I can satisfy my conscience by getting some value from them, even if it is an additional (but quality) guitar.

I've been somewhat tempted, but it is so heavily modified, I haven't been tempted enough.

For inexpensive guitars, I'd think Craigslist would be a best option. Then you don't get hit with listing fees, PayPal's cut, shipping, etc.

Sure, but it isn't so much acquiring another Hamer USA (not that I'm against that), as much as it is getting rid of all the decent-but-not-Hamer-USA-or-Vandenberg guitars in my inventory. If getting rid of them means adding another Hamer USA shredder, no problem.

I don't know how your finances are but you remind me of me.

I started with imports while telling myself I didn't want to part with the money for a USA guitar.

Well, the problem was it was easy to talk myself into buying import after import since their prices were always reasonable.

In the end, all the money I spent on imports and upgrading them I could have had several good USA guitars.

I still have a few imports, don't get me wrong. There are some really good quality ones out there. But if for nothing else, the USA ones will hold their retail value, where if you want to sell an import then good luck even breaking even.

Right now I have only 5 guitars, 1 USA and 4 imports. All of the imports are modified so take that for what it's worth.
