Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 What's the definition/description of BCR Burst?
cmatthes Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 IIRC, it is a special sunburst BCRGreg had custom-ordered to his specs with a little Cognac in it (I could be wrong about that). It was a good bit warmer and more subtle (vintagey?) than the stock bursts being offered by the factory at that time.

It was a good bit warmer and more subtle (vintagey?) than the stock bursts being offered by the factory at that time.It looks quite a bit like an "iced tea" burst, but sometimes it can be hard to tell in pictures where you don't know what camera setting is being used with what kind of lighting. It looks really nice in these pictures, though.(taking a picture in natural light with a bulb or cloudy day setting, or taking a picture in incandescent lighting on sunny day setting can really alter the appearance...)
BCR Greg Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 That was a custom blend that we spec'ed a few years back. The guitar is also one of 6 chambered Elites made against Hamer's wishes(at the time, they said that chambering the guitars would make them sound worse....)That color shows up with different names every now and then.
specialk Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 25th Anniversary sold pending payment.I hoped that one would go quick. Congrats to all!
axe2grind Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Any of these for the Les Paul or PRS Custom. I prefer the Les Paul pending better pics. That is if you're interested in a trade. Thanks
DavidE Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 THanks for the trade offers, but I'm just not into shredders. I'm really looking to thin the herd. It's like George Carlin observed, I moved into a bigger house a few years ago and now I've filled it with more stuff! If I don't sell some of my stuff, I'm going to have to move into a bigger space to get more stuff and if I have that much stuff, the alimony from the divorce will prevent me from getting more stuff..... ;-)
