greggorypeccary Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I got this last year to cover acoustic tones in the band I was playing with. Well, you know how bands are, it kind of fizzled out (that's a whole different thread...) so I'll pass it along since I never play it otherwise. Look at the pics, it's definitely a player, I much preferred to take this one out as opposed to my Gibson acoustic. Plus it's much easier to dial in a decent tone that sits in a band mix. There are a few nicks in the top and you can see a couple chips in the finish at the headstock. A little fretwear in the "cowboy chord" area, but it plays great. Pickups are SD Phatcats. It's set up with 11's and I'll throw in two extra sets. $770 paypal'd and shipped in the US. Of course, the original case is included.
Brooks Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 someone needs to buy this.DT w/ phatcats is the shiznit.
greggorypeccary Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 Thanks Brooks. Still available, just lowered the price a bit.
zorrow Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 If this includes a case, this is a no brainer. For me it is a "yes brainer" always. Can anybody please save me by buying this thing?
specialk Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Okay, I'll bite. what year is it? Any idea of the neck size? Wide/thin? Chunky? None of the above?
greggorypeccary Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Sold! Can't believe it took so long here. If that's not a sign of the times, I don't know what is.
specialk Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Sold! Can't believe it took so long here. If that's not a sign of the times, I don't know what is.Well, congrats to all! And yes, I do too think that is a sign of the times.....
rooster69f Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Everyone sing it with me.... "The nocturnal, gregarious WILD SWINE!" (if you think I'm nuts, ask the person who started this thread to explain it to you)
Brooks Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 it took awhile because not everyone is hip to how great DT's are just as electric guitars. the semihollow/spruce/wooden bridge is a tone machine, esp w/ phatcats &/or rio BBQ's.
zorrow Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 So, who is the happy owner now? I can't guess from the posts who's the lucky one who finally saved me!
