Early Protoype?

The humbucker is aftermarket. Stock configuration has a second slanted single coil in the bridge position.

I'm with MCC on this one. That is actually a "Two Coil" model, a run of custom guitars ordered for a shop/distributor in Germany.

Pretty rare - not many of them were made.

yep,

here's another pix i snagged from a Euro auction in 2005. I think all the ones i've seen, up to this point, had the bound top.

This one is at auction on the German Ebay site. It seems to be an early Protype, but does not have the Motherbucker. Any hints?

Serial # was provided as 1 3238.

hi folks - it is a two coil

i bought some time ago nearly the same guitar, it had serial number 1 3239.

i sold it because i had to rise money for a vintage guitar.

i ever since regretted that i sold it. i tried to buy it back, but our hfc member, very nice guy, did not want to resell it. sad.

so i bought that one ... 1 3238

i hope it arrives well.

Great deal gerry.

You even got it more vintage by one serial-number-point.
