Now THAT's a proper use of capo(s)!

(I know, everyone told me so )

Thanks for posting.

Edited to add: he makes looping look so easy. When I try it turns into an immediate train wreck (and I don't mean the amps).

Great clip.

I thought the same thing about the looping. I can never step on the pedal at the right moment and everything gets off sink very quickly.

He is a looping link that I enjoy watching - a great one man band playing Let It Rain.

I think Keaggy would be much better known and acclaimed if he wasn't in the "Christian artist" ghetto. He's absolutely stunning on acoustic and electric.

Jeez, how many fingers does this dude have?

9, if i remember correctly...

9-1/2. Missing half the middle finger of his right hand. Wasn't that what Jerry Garcia was missing?

I saw Keaggy several times in the early-to-mid '70s, and he provided my first "Wile E. Coyote" jaw-dropping moments that inspired Willie G. Moseley to start a previous thread.

He started touring when he was around 15 and finished high school via a correspondence course. I still have my original Glass Harp albums on Decca, and also saw them just before they split up in 1971. Some of the things he did on his Sunburst didn't seem humanly possible at the time.

There's a nice collaboration between Keaggy and fingerpicker Doyle Dykes called "On The Great North Road" on Dykes' new album BRIDGING THE GAP. Also duet between Dykes and Eric Johnson called "Red Clay" on the same album.
