Listed as the worst place to work was Gibson Guitar, followed by United Airlines, Spherion, AutoZone and Rain Bird.

"In many cases they mishandled the instability so there was a constant threat of layoffs and unclear vision of where the company was going," Hohman said.

Maybe one of the reasons for inconsistancy in their guitars?

Yeah, when 88% of the workers (past & present) say the same thing there definately is something wrong.

My question is, when Henry bought the company, didn't they start making great guitars again (Heritage Les Pauls etc)?

So what happened with this guy?

I remember when he changed policy on what a dealers minimum was. He made it impossible for them to stay a dealer.

what is with this guy Henry anyway?

A friend of mine does set ups for a music store that still carries Gibson. He still tells the story about opening up the shipping carton of a brand new Gibson SG, opening up the case, and seeing a nasty, crusted snot rocket across the guitar's top.

Don't think that is possible during shipping, but who knows? :D

What happened?

How about this:

WTF?

OR

WTF Part II

OR

WTF Part III

OR

WTF Part IV

OR . . .

You get the point I assume. ;)

Yup, the pure insanity that caused WTF I-IV :D

Ok, definately those :P

But, I mean, it's like Hitler with brain syphilis is at the helm of Gibson.

Something must have happened to Henry Jur.... He seemed to have a solid grip on that company then he started driving drunk.

Must have came out with every shit design imaginable the past 5-years. And all these authorized dealers who simply want to sell the Vintage 6-strings. End up straddled with all these expensive behemoths?

But back earlier in the millinium when he was focusing on the LPs and their quality, upgrading the 490/498 pups etc. The company was getting great ink throughout the country. Christ he hit the cover of the Parade flyer earlier in this decade. That flyer is inserted in every major newspaper in the country on Sundays.
