lhrocker Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 I have a couple of ESP Neck Thru shredder type guitars that I would like to trade for a 'non shredder' type guitar. Both are lat 80's Japanese models and come with HSC's. They can be found here:http://members.fortunecity.com/axegamer/esp.htmlI can get you more pictures and/or information on request. I am looking for a 1 to one trade on a Special/Studio or a 2 for 1 trade on something nicer. I have my shredders covered at this point with a Jackson Dinky Rev and an Ibanez USRG.If anyone is interested, please contact me on the board or at lhrocker@earthlink.net.Thanx,Pete
copper blue Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 That Horizon is the same model Page Hamilton of Helmet played for years..Page is sick...just sick..
killertone Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 That Horizon is the same model Page Hamilton of Helmet played for years..Page is sick...just sick.. Yup. I couldn't agree more. Way underrated...
Jack C Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 OK, I'll further the hijack. (Besides, it bumps Pete's thread). The only Helmet album I have is Meantime. Great Album, but no leads. Do any of their other album have any lead guitar work? I'm not a particular fan of the meedly - just curious.
black magic Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 That pink Mirage is sweet!! I wish I had something to trade you :-( Jack.
Jeff R Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 I have their second album, I think it's called "Betty." I like "Meantime" much better.
Scottcrud Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 JeffR, in one of the few times, I whole heartidly disagree, Meantime is their best CD, Betty has two good songs on it, Aftertaste has one. And all Helmets CD's have noisy/textury leads, not your typical shredder type.
Jason01 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 UUhhh, he said he likes meantime better, how's that disagreeing?
Scottcrud Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 crap! you're right, I was reading it in a hurry. Sorry JeffR, once again we agree!
killertone Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Page is a true original. What he did on the first three Helmet records set a precedent for all the stuff through out the 90's. Check out his playing with Joe Henry, David Bowie, and NIN. All cool stuff and they couldn't be more different. Did anyone see him on SNL w/Bowie? That was awesome!
copper blue Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Meantime had more commercial appeal and I like it, but I enjoy "Strap It On" best.It was the last album Helmet released on Amphetamine/Reptile records..incredible.. Page rarely does solos..the thing is to him, solos release all the tension built up by his songs..His thing is monster rythm chops, heavy riffs and precision...Page is fucking awesome..
Jeff R Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 LOL, Scott!Hey, I just noticed...isn't this thread supposed to be something about some guitars that are for sale? hahahaha
