bmenary Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 The JVM has 28 knobs- that would make my brain hurt- seriously- I had an Elmwood and it made me nuts- I need a simpler layout.what else you got

dewey finn Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Fryette (VHT) Deliverance 60. Single channel. Very versatile, and goes from classic to raging distorion.
bmenary Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 Dewey- Have you compared to the SIG-X? I hear that's the one for High GainI don't play metal- I need clarity- you know... I do hear good things about VHT- Fryette (VHT) Deliverance 60. Single channel. Very versatile, and goes from classic to raging distorion.
jisham Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Might want to check out the new Blackstar Venue series they debuted at NAMM. Seriously cool amps that give you all kinds of tones. While they make lower watt options, the 100 watt head is something like $879 STREET!For me though, a Peavey 6505 (or older 5150) is THE high gain amp. Love that tone and they're virtually indestructible.
Jason01 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 If you're looking for clarity a Fryette (VHT) is probably right up your alley. My CLX cuts through like you wouldn't believe. I wish they made a 2x12 sig x combo.
lhrocker Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Bogner Ecstasy? If you're interested, please email me for pictures at Lhrocker@gmail.com. My PM on the board is a bit wacky.Thanx - Pete

dewey finn Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I've not played the SigX. I love the clarity and versitility of my D60 Massive tone and balls.
kurtsstuff Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Did not like the SigX....My other favorite amp is Cornford MK50II
