Thinking about a new amp- Basics that I am looking for-

Head only

50 W preferred- 100W considered

Must do high gain really well- like a cornford, diezel einstein, custom audio- dat sorta ting

Must be a MV amp- or have power scaling or an in signal path attenuator

Anyone have an amp your thinking about moving?

Thank you- Barry Menary/Illinois

The JVM has 28 knobs- that would make my brain hurt- seriously- I had an Elmwood and it made me nuts- I need a simpler layout.

what else you got

Marshall DSL100

I know you mentioned 50W......

But the DSL100 can be scored used anywhere from $550 on up..........

Dewey- Have you compared to the SIG-X? I hear that's the one for High Gain

I don't play metal- I need clarity- you know... I do hear good things about VHT-

Fryette (VHT) Deliverance 60. Single channel. Very versatile, and goes from classic to raging distorion.

Might want to check out the new Blackstar Venue series they debuted at NAMM. Seriously cool amps that give you all kinds of tones. While they make lower watt options, the 100 watt head is something like $879 STREET!

For me though, a Peavey 6505 (or older 5150) is THE high gain amp. Love that tone and they're virtually indestructible.

If you're looking for clarity a Fryette (VHT) is probably right up your alley. My CLX cuts through like you wouldn't believe. I wish they made a 2x12 sig x combo.

Bogner Ecstasy? If you're interested, please email me for pictures at Lhrocker@gmail.com. My PM on the board is a bit wacky.

Thanx - Pete
