Shark Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Germany is the hottest market for Hamer basses in the vorld. How do you know?
bubs_42 Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 I think I may give it another shot. Box it, weight it,post if for worldwide and let it rip.
bubs_42 Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 New Lower Reserve on Ebay and I made it clear that I'll ship it out of country. Thanks for those that have contacted from Outside the US I now have box dimension and weight to give you a good estimate.
bubs_42 Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 End tomorrow early am. Early Bird Catches the Worm.
GusS Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 bro, ditch the reserve, open it up worldwide (that means select worldwide in the shipping category) and watch it fly. fyi it costs about $120-130 to ship to western europe via USPS priority int'l.
bubs_42 Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 I'll take 741. plus actuall shipping. That is exactly what I got in it. Last Drop I'd rather keep it than loose a single penny. Worth way more I must just be doing something wrong. I did open it up to ship oversea's. As the seller I can see everyone that bid on it and I don't think that dropping the reserve is going to help me any.
GusS Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Brah, you didn't brah. It's written black on white:Item number: 300465182010Item location: Washington, IL 61571, United StatesShips to: United States Sure, there's a paragraph in the description saying you would ship abroad but it don't really mean much cuz the only people who saw your bass are those who logged on ebay.com i.e. Americans and experienced ebay sharks. eBay.de, ze hottest marketplace in the vorld for hammer bases, didn't see it. Neither did ebay.co.uk. The mighty Euro and Sterling were not invited to this party.as for the reserve.. fellow hfcers kizanski and badgerdave start their big ticket items at low prices w/ no reserve.. why do you think?

They have got bigger balls than me? Thats my final answer....
cynic Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 as for the reserve.. fellow hfcers kizanski and badgerdave start their big ticket items at low prices w/ no reserve.. why do you think? He's right though....Starting items at low prices gets people to bid, and once people have bid, there's a commitment thing that takes place and they'll be more likely to bid again, at a price higher than they initially budgeted for the item. For instance....an initial bid of $750 may seem like a lot, but if you've already reconciled a bid of $500, it's only $250 more and $250 isn't bad. Most everything I've sold on eBay has started out at $0.99 with the final selling price nearly always meeting or exceeding my estimation.I'm sure you've seen auctions end unsold that had a reserve or buy it now, and then seen the item relisted with no reserve or a lower starting price and it goes for more than the initial buy it now.
GusS Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 You know for a fact that the highest bid was under $75 less than what you have in it, and that's with the reserve not met. It's all but certain that without the reserve and the usa only restriction it'll end up fetching more than $741 + ebay fees.. I'd wait 7-10 days before relisting.
bubs_42 Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 BUMP.. Been really busy but its still here. Back to Ebay soon.
