e-isle rock Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 http://austin.craigslist.org/msg/2009125866.htmlNo affiliation. I sold one of these about a year agofor $1500 but it had the Schaller.
e-isle rock Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 You got that right Feynman. I wish I was in a better position to afford this thing. Oh well.
atquinn Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 The perfect Vintage S? I think all the SSH ones I've seen have had Floyds. Plus it has black hardware. *swoon*-Austin
bubs_42 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Am I the only one that finds it funny that the headstock doesn't match the body? Not that its still not a good deal.Feyman feel free to pick it up for me....

Not that its still not a good deal.Feyman feel free to pick it up for me....Nice catch bubs. That IS kind of odd.$300 for a VintS is odd too. Especially when it was "originally $2500". We all know that new Hamers take a nasty hit in resale price. But $2500 down to $300? {scratches head}.caddie

Feyman feel free to pick it up for me.... Good catch Bubs. I didn't notice the headstock not matching. If it's too good to be true it usually is. Headstocks never match on Vintage S's. The headstock is always the birdseye maple of the neck painted the same color pattern as the body (in other words, no matching flame maple veneer on the headstock). Color wise, they look a bit different, but that just pics taken in different situations. Nothing at all fishy about that CL Vintage S, at least not from looking at the pics. But if thinking so makes you feel better about the fact that you can't get it* think on -Austin *Which isn't to say that I'm going to get it; I'm sure it's long gone by now!
Feynman Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 "Location: Austin"Foreshadowing?Ah, come on. That's funny, right? Tough crowd.
e-isle rock Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 Here's the one I used to have: Mine had the Schaller. The CL Vintage S has the ABM roller bridge. The headstock on my old one seems a better match to the body color than the CL one.
bubs_42 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I was talking about the color. It does not match.
carfish7 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Wow. I thought I got a deal on mine......Well, I did, of course.Anyone in Austin willing to assist?Z
carfish7 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Current "bid" is $325, as in...."Got a guy paying me $325 to hold it for him - if you want to pay me more you can have it....."Still available if anyone is willing to play that particular game.....Z
