bubs_42 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 I have had my share of Sunburst's but one more could not hurt me. I'd like a big neck and a shimmed bridge. No preferences on color, inlays or condition. Email me or PM me the info. Thanks in advance!
Hamerphite Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Still Looking and Still Serious! I've got a nice '77 and a nice '78. Not sure about exact neck sizes... I'm at [email protected] -- Ralph
bubs_42 Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 No deal done yet. If anyone has one email me or pm.
serial Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I no longer have my 77 or 78. All that I still have is The better of my two killer 81 Ferrari red Sunbursts and carved top 85 Electraglide. Can't think about moving the Electraglide, but I don't get to play the red one enough. (L-R) 77, 78 black, 79, 81 Ferrari red, 81 Ferrari red, 82 Natural w/3 ply binding, 83 w/trem, 84 carved top "Sportomatic", 85 "Electraglide" carved top. (Front) 1989 FRT owned by Scotti Hill

Me like the Sportomatic and Electraglide BIG time! You should post more pictures of those...I'm tempted to do a custom order just looking at 'em! Edited to add: You got rid of the Sportomatic?
bubs_42 Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Ya he did. Then another HFC'er sold it via ebay and it went STOOOPID CHEAP! I had ZERO MONEY at the time and that is very rare. Sorry I missed that one. Serial the Red Sunburst are smokin but i'm sure they are not what i'm looking for in the neck department. Sure you won't trade the Electraglide for a 4 Digit?
murkat Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Sure you won't trade the Electraglide for a 4 Digit? OMG, Say what?
serial Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 It's probably worth more than just about any four digit, so probably not and I actually hunted that guitar down for seventeen years, so that just wouldn't be right! Besides-I've had 15-20 old Standards over the years. Some oldies-a 76, 78, 79, 79, 79, 81, '97 and '03
bubs_42 Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 Wallpaper! That guitar is just too cool for me anyway. I think i'm like #4,547th in line for it.
bubs_42 Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 I could be talked into buying a 78 Prefer Long Headstock and Shimmed Bridge.
svl Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I could be talked into buying a 78 Prefer Long Headstock and Shimmed Bridge. Huh, that description sure sounds familiar. I just had a crazy offer made for mine a few days ago...
bubs_42 Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Well, if you think its crazy then I would sell it.
svl Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I was tempted cause IMO it's stupid money, but it's a non-Hamer guy looking for an investment guitar, basically. She wouldn't be loved, and she needs to be loved...
serial Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 That's happened to me a few times. If it's REALLY crazy money, I'll do it and haven't had any regrets. Can't play 'em all anyway and it helps me knock stuff off of my bucket list!
Steve Haynie Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I was tempted cause IMO it's stupid money, but it's a non-Hamer guy looking for an investment guitar, basically. She wouldn't be loved, and she needs to be loved...That answer can be respected. Seeing a guitar set aside and taken away from the collectors who actually love to play the instruments is always bad. Someone who does not love the guitar is also more likely to "tinker" with the parts.
bubs_42 Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 He know where he can send that one. At least I hope he does.....
