Brooks Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 friggin LOVE room service and most of the dressed to kill album.my intro into music (after AM radio) was an 8 track stereo i got for xmas 1976 (2nd grade), it came w/ 3 tapes;frampton comes alive, BTO's greatest hits, and DTK. kiss was my fave, and i wore that out while air guitaring w/ a tennis racquet. "she" in particular shaped my musical tastes, as it has that mid tempo heavy sabs groove that is still my fave musical vibe to this day.

Montelovesco Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 That really was a cool one. I never realised that kind of Muppet Show drumming on the song (which is cool, by the way)..,
LordOfTheThighs Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Take Me Away (Together As One) Epic Paul Stanley song. Cranked up in a dim room by yourself, with your eyes closed, and really listen to the lyrics, it's like a memory that has been transplanted from your mind, into a song. (I know, I know, my tampon string is showing ... ) I think we all have some memories of that sort. Bob Kulick's playing really shines on Paul's album. If Paul would have had a rocker, in place of the ballad, Hold Me, Touch Me, ( I don't dislike it, but it's the weakest track IMO), I'd have to flip a coin to decide between Paul and Ace's solo albums. For me, Ace's wins by a nose. I remember getting all 4 solo albums, when they were released. They came in a plastic bag with the solo album art printed on it. Paul and Ace's albums are regulars on my rotation list. I always wondered if the solo album adventure wouldn't have transpired, what a KISS album in late '78 would have been like. With a pool of songs from the solo albums, plus how they'd have been played by the band, it'd have been a potent release. Even Peter's jazzy swinging solo sound, would have been rocked up for a KISS release. Another entertaining Pod Of Thunder. Nice job. For the last month or so, I've had my home-made solo album poster wallpaper on my puter:
Montelovesco Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I remember those posters. They came with every single record, even here in Germany. I glued them together, hung them on my wall for some time, stored them away and gave them away one day... :-( A nice piece of pop art.
