Steve Haynie Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 For the record, on the last tour Tommy got to do his own thing a little more. KISS started off with Shock me and then went into Tommy's song Outta This World.
LordOfTheThighs Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Then, the guys discuss Paul's rather incendiary comments in a recent Classic Rock Magazine interview about the band's upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Paul Stanley Classic Rock Magazine Interview.

BadgerDave Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Finally caught up. Finished the Dick Petty episode while pushing six inches of snow off my roof this morning. Can't believe you spent a good 10 minutes discussing NASCAR BTW, the top row is VIP seating. Closer to the track gets you rubber in you teeth and an obstructed view. The higher the better (and more expensive). You get to listen to the full Slade greatest hits album on the next drive to Minneapolis for that one. and Music from the Elder.
MCChris Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 BTW, the top row is VIP seating. Closer to the track gets you rubber in you teeth and an obstructed view. The higher the better (and more expensive).Don't punish me for the Jones' brothers' idiocy. Punish me for the 2 days of your life spent listening to POT that you'll never get back!

alantig Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Whoa - two Elder tracks in a row. Somewhere, Gene is chuckling.Personally, I like the Elder. I like "Escape From The Island", and I like the guitar solo in "Only You". Very different for Kiss.
LordOfTheThighs Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I was driving home from work, listening to the latest installment of POT. "This one comes off .... Music From The Damn Elder ..... " People beside me, must have thought I was whacko, laughing so hard.I have to admit, last week's episode went off the rails a bit, but this week's podcast made up for it.The Escape From The Island / Pat Morita vid had me rolling.http://youtu.be/rmGighULcBA
MCChris Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 ^^^Hahaha yes, our best production piece yet!
alantig Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Whoa - two Elder tracks in a row. Somewhere, Gene is chuckling.Personally, I like the Elder. I like "Escape From The Island", and I like the guitar solo in "Only You". Very different for Kiss.DOH! I realized today, right after I had to stop the podcast when you announced the song - "Only You" isn't the solo I'm thinking of. It was the solo in "Under The Rose".I may have to buy some Kiss merch to pay penance. Maybe the new 34-LP set...(No, I'm not buying that.)
Brooks Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 "This one comes off .... Music From The Damn Elder ..... " People beside me, must have thought I was whacko, laughing so hard.i was getting my teeth cleaned when i heard this and i got the giggles. she had to stop for about 15 seconds. "are you listening to comedy?","no, its an intellectual discusssion of music".

Steve Haynie Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Have not listened yet, but Easy As It Seems would have been OK if it had not been a KISS song.

Steve Haynie Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Ace Frehley played Lover Her All I Can on his last solo tour.
alantig Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 But...but...but...Paul and Gene said they couldn't play that one with Ace and Peter in the band because those two couldn't keep up!Could Paul and Gene be...wrong????
LordOfTheThighs Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Love Her All I Can is a GREAT KISS song. Definitely need to keep that Tom cat around, as good luck for the "This one comes off .... " random selection. I made this a couple weeks ago. Its a pic of the location where the DTK album cover was shot, today.
LordOfTheThighs Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I suppose this thread is kinda like the HFC Official KISS Thread. So .... KISSonline has an excerpt from Paul's new book. I laffed.Context ... Paul recalls The Farewell Tour:It would have been great to go out in a blaze of musical glory; instead, we were dragging our asses. At one point we put aside a few days to brush up on songs and tighten things up. Ace didn't show for one of the rehearsals. He said he wasn't feeling well because he had Lyme disease – an illness brought on by the bite of a deer tick. Peter, brainiac that he is, said, "That's bullshit! He was never bitten by a deer!"Am I living in an insane asylum?
MCChris Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 LOL!In other news, Tom Morello will be the one inducting KISS into the HOF next week. Works for me. Thank God Grohl's own band is getting inducted, otherwise it almost assuredly would have been him. I'm sure he still lobbied for the role anyway.
MCChris Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Episode 49 is now ALIVE!
