Crazy Question for One & All - Hamer Graphics

Question

I have an unusual question for the experts and those .....

I recently acquired a Hamer Vector that I believe is from the 80's (maybe 90's), and it has very unusual graphics. The graphic appears, to the untrained eye, to be a semi-naked lady with knees bent and her TaTa prominently displayed. The artist signed the name "Streeter" to the artwork.

I cannot find and airbrush artist names Streeter today on the Web. There was however a Bill Streeter many years ago that is considered to be the godfather of modern airbrushing and he painted several spectacular motorcycles.

My question is, did Hamer ever use the services of an airbrush artist named Streeter and if so, does anyone know anything about the artist and perhaps this guitar. I will send private pictures to those that ask, but I do not want to offend anyone with public photos. The Political Correctness Police may be monitoring this site.

Thanks

Paul

If you were inclined, if you become an HFC supporter you will have access to secret forum where you can post whatever you desire.

It was my understanding that the only authorized Hamer artist outside the factory was Jim O'Connor but there may be others. I have a Hamer Special with graphics painted by Paul Hamer's brother at the factory.

Maybe you should buy the Hamer book. I bet it is in there. ;)

I wonder how it would appear to the trained eye.

I can't find the thread now but that one was discussed here. Wasn't it somewhere in FL on craiglist? I think there were a few jokes made about Steve Stevens wife thrown in.

I don't remember anyone thinking there was any chance it may have been a factory job.

ETA: Here it is. The discussion I mention above must have been primarily in my head, but between the three of me I was pretty certain it wasn't factory :D

This one?

Bobby, I am a supporter.

Cynic, thanks. Yes, that is the Vector. I acquired it for much less than the asking price. It looks much, much better in person and the neck feels pretty nice. The artist signed it Streeter, and from what I can tell he was a very sought after motorcycle airbrush artist. I'm just curious to find out more of the history on this guitar and whether or not he painted for Hamer.

I ordered some parts for it. Its interesting, someone milled some Gibson studs down to fit the guitar and used them with the Floyd. They look a little strange but are rock solid. There is some fret life left in it, but I will probably have it refretted soon with 6105 wire and Plek setup. The pickups sound fair with a Bandmaster, but good with a Mesa Mark IV.

Thanks to all.

Paul:

Definitely not a factory graphic.

Besides O'Connor....who else did Hamer graphics over the years? Jim didn't sign all his stuff, so sometimes I can't tell if it was his work.

All the b&w graphic specials were just in-house masking, yes? And the granite stuff was in-house staff?

I have a couple other factory graphics I'm not sure who did them.,..The TV Blitz with the color bar test pattern, I'm guessing was staff..but not sure on the blood splatter Bogus Toms one? The CT "Busted" 12ver with shattered glass is an O'Connor.....did he also do the blue marble finishes withe the gold leaf highlights?

Hamer also used that blonde woman who did the Sgt Pepper guitar. I also thought Pamelina (Fender Cust Shop, harley davidson, etc) told me that she did something for Hamer?

O'Connor did the Blue/Seafoam/Blue-Gray Marble graphics. Those are all signed/dated.

The "Granite" and "Irridescent" finishes were done in house.
