fixing lifted clear finish.

I've contacted a few experts directly but thought I'd throw this out for those of us that are familiar with Jacksons and/or clear lifting issues.

Some may have seen my DK1 was up for sale but it didn't move (yet) due, in part, to the clear coat lifting over the logo. This is not an unusual problem as I've read about others having this issue and this is the 2nd such case for me.

Anyone know of a decent, cost-effective fix for such an issue?

for a poly, urathane finish, a very thin super glue that will wick stupid fast into the lifted area.

Stewmac caries what you want, there "thin' super glue.

you will need to tape off the area,

have a piece nylon plastic sheet cut so you press the area flat,

and few other steps to make it a success.

it can be done... in the right hands ;)

Never even heard of Hobby Lobby and it's been mentioned both on here and on another forum.

It's a Southern thing.

Hobby Lobby is a big box hobby supply store. It has a little of everything, but not everything you want. There are some leathercraft kits, but not like a Tandy Leather store. There are scrapbooking supplies, but not like the places that specialize in scrapbooks. You can buy art supplies, but if you want the specialized papers, paints, pens you will need to go to a dedicated art supply store. Want to sew your own clothing, upholstery, or drapes? They have cloth, but not as much as a fabric store. What Hobby Lobby has is a bunch of home decorations and just enough stuff for several types of arts and crafts to get you hooked on those types of hobbies.
