Michael_B Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Which sub-$100 EQ pedals would you recommend?
veatch Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Depends what you wanna do with it. I think these are the shizzle, but you need to be patient to get one. Adds a touch of gain/grit to an electric guitar. The new ones are nowhere close to the same.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-MXR-Six-Band-Graphic-Equalizer-6-Band-EQ-script-back-from-1978-/221510346356?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item33930ba674
bubs_42 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I used this one for years as a boost.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-DOD-FX40B-Boost-Vintage-Equalizer-EQ-Pedal-CLEAN-/251653132632?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item3a97b21158#ht_161wt_1105
veatch Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 The old DOD stuff was great. I had a compressor that i wish i still had...
bubs_42 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 The DOD PREAMP pedal was another good one.
Feynman Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Remember when most/all pedals were under $100?
LordsoftheJungle Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 modded Boss GE-7 is a good one for cheap (Allum mod or Sniper mod). I've got one in my fx loop and like it No affiliation http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=1481790&highlight=boss
Tres Aardvarks Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I just use my Boss Bass EQ pedal for a lead boost. Too cheap to buy another pedal to do it

Jakeboy Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I had an MXR 10 band for a while...you can get mint used ones for under $100. Worked wonderfully, but I traded it away for another pedal that I have since traded away for yet another pedal that I hopefully will keep using for reverb and trem (Strymon Flint).
