cmatthes Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Actually, somebody is getting a pickup that isn't shown there that will be paired with one of the ones shown. It isn't Serial (and isn't me either) btw...

cmatthes Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Well, it's not THAT, but I think you've got the color right!

velorush Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Very girly this one. I'd like to have a lipstick one time. They're splendid pickups (IMO). In college I put this one (from 1956) in the neck of my SG. If you remove the bracket from the bottom they fit nicely into the 'ear' routings for a humbucker. The humbucker bezel can be put over the pickup to hold it in place. Can't be adjusted, but it really was about right. Of course, Duncan and others now make them Strat-sized (originals are wider), so options are much greater than in 1985. Back to the thread, if what I am guessing by 'you have the color right' that should be a great combination!

bubs_42 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 The Zandardkov? Someone may want to trademark that. I googled it and no search finds came up.
Jakeboy Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Ok....I have 2 sound clips but I need someone to tell me how to post videos from my iPhone to the Forums....That said, here is my impression of the Shlabotniks...1. Grace.....throaty is the word. Very articulate for a neck pickup. Becomes even more throaty when I am in the middle position and then change to the neck only. Great for blues and loves an overdriven tube amp. Smooth and throaty.2. Enola...bridge...perfect wind. Just a bit hotter than the neck and rocks hard. With the maple top and ebony board, bane is plenty bright. I like that in a bucker....makes you actually use the tone control. Reminds me of the old Dimarzio PAFs...just a lil hotter and not as raspy. Just perfect for classic rock and blues. Mine likes to rock....3. Middle position.....my fave for clean tones...,chime and jangle! WONDERFUL for arpeggios and picking through chords as well as leads. Mine sounds a lot like a Tele mid position...which I LOVE.3 incredible different and totally useable flavors that actually change with the tone control. These picks sound killer with OD and amp distortion ....I haven't tried a pedal yet.....and they excel at cleans......Josh and Mike just NAILED these pickups. Perfect for the Ultimates.....
