CRAMER Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Music Machine currently hase 2 remaining Hamer Triple Threats in stock. Here's a nice picture of one of the remaining two. These guitars have a one piece mahogany neck with 17 degree pitched headstock, brazilian rosewood fretboard, Tone Pros bridge and tailpiece, and some fine looking figure...
Guest pirateflynn Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Nathan at MM is tops. A very knowledgable, helpful guy.
larryl Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 How much? $$$ WHat distinguishes these from a Studio Custom? Thanks,Larry
cmatthes Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 They have a number of differences from a Studio Custom - think of them as the Hamer for Les Paul RI collectors. Thicker body, one-piece neck, vintage carve, 17degree headstock pitch (more LP-ish), Brazilian board, specially designed, wound and numbered pickups and limited run.
JohnnyThunders Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I know Dave's guitar has a bunch and he said he would agressively deal on them a few weeks ago.
DEMENTED Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Great! What is the price range? MM's prices seem high. The prices at Dave's are $2495.
black magic Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 The Ticker Body part has me thinking, the Studio Custom should have a thicker body in general and be heavier to get that Paul tone. I have always thought they should be thicker and heavier. If they were blowing them out at $1499 I would be all over one. Jack.
cmatthes Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Can't see those blowing out at $1,499 - not too many dealers would be willing to lose $5-600 + off of their cost on something like that!!
black magic Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I understand bro, just saying of they did, I couldn`t resist a thicker heavier SC!! I surely wouldn`t pay $1500 for a new Gibson LP Standard. Jack.

So in your opinion, then, its true that thicker, fatter guitars have thicker, fatter tone? I sometimes think this is the case myself.
black magic Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I have found, that on a whole, I have found a denser heavier guitar made of mahogany dous have a thicker deaper sound, that is why I love all mahogany guitars. Jack.
CRAMER Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 Music Machine has a toll free number: 888-NICE-GTR (888-642-3487). Call for details and an in hand description. We can supply extra detailed photos of the guitar.Dont forget this one has Tone Pros bridge and tailpiece!
seeker Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Just caught this thread. They have a thicker body? Like a Les Paulish type thick - about 2" at the edge/rim?
