coolfeel Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Yah that is all kinds of badass right there...
velorush Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Fantastic! Lots going on at the start (couldn't hear each other?). Really like the older days of 335 Blackmore (like 335 Clapton, too).
Willie G. Moseley Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Ray Flacke done a good version of that song on his Untitled Island album. Flacke has often been compared to Albert Lee since he too is a rapid-fire, country-oriented Englishster.
Sentinel Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Didn't they nick a riff from the american band called It's A Beautiful Day - from the song "Bombay Calling" and changed it to Child in time?! And the reaction from It's A Beautiful Day... they stole the above riff from Deep Purple for their song Don and Dewey"! The story is here, full with facts and musical examples... Cool...! (Btw, not my video!)
RobB Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 The BBC In Concert cd has a version circa 1973 where both Blackmore/Lord solo turns are outstanding. Great stuff.
