Are there any Hamer custom color swatches out there

I have been wanting to refinish an old guitar. I saw a few old early 90s price lists that named the colors but have not been able to find any examples of what they looked like. Google image search helps but I am not always sure what color the random guitars would be called.

Did hamer mix their own colors in house, or use commercially available color coats? Easiest way to get a good match would be to go right to the source where they got their colors from.

Of course, Aztec Gold on Alder is different than Aztec Gold on Maple, just as Cherry on Alder is different from Cherry on Mahogany.

I'm sure BCR Greg or Elduave may have some.

The last swatches available were in the early '90s, so not likely.  They only really gave those to the reps, not dealers.  The last ones I saw were in a keyring type orientation.  Apart from that, they were really just pics or names in the catalog.

Serial has one of those, I believe.

I had a Rep walk in with a Harmonica-style roll-out bag of color samples on 2 x 4 in maple pieces, and that was around 2006. Not that I would have any thoughts on where they would be now, but there were samples.

I've seen those, but only at the factory - it would make sense that the reps would have them, but they were a hell of a lot...clunkier!

The key ring style was the only ones I remember besides Greg having a collection of just sample blocks from custom orders. Heck its been a while. ;)

Chris is wrong.

I have a complete set of swatches, on maple over mahogany blocks, 3x4".    We were sent the first set....I do not know how many were made.

I'll dig it up and shoot a few pics.

I was talking about swatches/chips, not the blocks.

Didn't think that was unclear.
