Dave Scepter Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hey has Hamer always used "Hamer" potentiometers?.. And if not, can somebody chime in with a timeline change?.. what other brands did they use DiMarzio's?.. CTS?.. or? Thanks, Dave
serial Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 CTS, then Dimarzio (CTS), the Dimarzios with the Hamer stamp. Not sure where they were sourced from late 80s-on, but they were CTS-coded throughout.
Never2Late Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 How do Dimarzios rate against Bourns Pro Audio pots?

Disturber Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 So, if I'd want a Hamer potentiometer right now, today, what should I buy? A Dimarzio pot? If anyone feel like it, please post a link to where a correct pot is sold.
Jakeboy Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I haven't tried them myself....but I am told that Mojo Electronics sells pots with the "Hamer taper" that are supposed to be like quality.....unless I was fed a line of poopage....
luis Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I got some DiMarzio pots made by Centralab (134 code) from Alpep some time ago. Great for volume not so good for tone because the taper.
