Newport neck size variation between 99-08??

Hey guys, a friend of mine tried out my 2008 Newport pro and really liked it and wants to get one.    So we were looking on Reverb and found one made in 1999.  She likes the size of the 2008 neck. So we are wondering if there was much change in the neck size on Newports from 1999-2008?  Thanks

Difficult question. I like the neck of my 02 very much too. But I remember there had been a saying here that the model has had some slight changes from the early models.

My 00 Newport has the fattest neck of any Hamer I own, though most of mine are 90s hamers, which in general had thinner necks.

My 02 has a fat neck too?

My 02 does not.  Feels slightly less than a vintage carve.  My Mirage feels closer to the vintage carve.

My 06 Newport has a fairly chunky neck - vintage carve - but it is definitely not as fat as the neck on my 2016 Gibby R8.
