Hey any here that can give me some advice.
I am in the process of replacing the pickups out of this one " not original Duncan's" with WIZZ double cream A4 and rewind gold vintage pull covers and screws.
The last owner replaced the Schaller Nashville brass saddles with graph tec ones.
I am thinking of replacing the Nashville bridge with a Faber tone loc with brass saddles and either the "insert" studs or the "bswkit" studs. But If I do the bswkit I can never go back to the original setup as I understand it. Or should I leave well enough alone on changing the bridge out?
Any suggestions on pickups or Bridge mods??

Let me get a hold of my friend who did a Faber deal on his and send him in here.B)

Great looking Vector BTW. I am lucky enough to have a 2005 version. Best V guitar I have and ever will own.

This is Lucky.

Another nice V ! BTMN! lol....I have not had mine long enough to name....I have a R9 named the ....Beast! due to its serial # ending in XXXX666!

Darn.......One of the kluson deluxe machine heads is on its last legs.
I changed out on my Gibby R9 tuners to Gotoh vintage locking tuners and have been real happy.
And I got a friend who has a set in gold that fits Gibson who will sell to me at a fair price. The package reads as..Gotoh Gold 3X3 Locking Vintage Style Tuners for Les Paul, SG Guitar TK-0735-002
What I don't know is the Hamer equivalent peg head hole size....heck it may be the same as Gibson's which as I remember is 11/32? I know you can buy different spacers too but perhaps you know.
thanks for you time

The guy I alerted to this thread tells me he is the reason you are asking about the Faber. You and he posted over on the LPF he told me. I know nothing about the bridges or about the peg sizes. I know replacement Schaller Klusons would be my first thought but locking is good too. I like Spezels for that job but that is just me.

Lucky earned it's name cause it cost me less than a dollar in the long run. I won the money for it on a Play 4 number here in Florida. :)

Now that's a real good luck story!

Thanks for the follow up....hope someone here will come in and fill me in on the Gotoh stuff.

Nice addition to your fleet!

Not sure on the tuner size, but StewMac (oddly enough) has these pretty cheap: http://www.stewmac.com/Closeouts/TonePros_Kluson_3and3_Tuners_with_Double-ring_Keystone_Knobs_and_Press-fit_Bushings.html

Not locking, but it has the double rings.

If you're going with a Faber bridge, wait for their next 20% off sale, prob. Memorial Day?

Am I supposed to know who the guy playing it in the pic is?

My buddy wants $40 for the locking ones and there new in a box.....But I hate to buy them and find out they will not work and mail them back to him.

I noticed that the Klusion's at Stewmac are for 11/32 peg holes too (same as my friends Gotoh set) so maybe that is what Hamers are drilled for size wise?

As for the picture......it is a guy who last owned the guitar Eric Cervera.....toured for 3 years and several recordings in the EU with this particular HAMER.

Give you $3.50 for it?

Did that come from Willcutts? They used to have the rear loaded Vectors like yours on their site that I would drool over, but the stars never aligned.Standards too. Love that no pickgaurd look!

Merlin, I know you’ll love that axe. I have #13.

Ummmm no and no. I bought the Vector from an HFC member but he was the second owner and the COA was not with it when he got it. Not sure if it originally came through Willcutt. I too love the no pickguard look.

Hey BTMN

what are the humbuckers you got in that one?

Duncan 59 in the neck and a Dimarzio PAF repro put in by the previous owner. A real nice match to the Korina.
