thunderbolt Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Hi guys, I'm selling my Hamer Chaparral Custom 1988 on Reverb and would like to see anyone is interested. I really like this one, especially its neck profile, so if you are looking for a shredder and prefer a fuller profile, this one is for you. Below is the link and description. I'm asking SOLD shipped in conus for forumites. Any questions, please let me know; thanks! https://reverb.com/item/15356968-hamer-chaparral-custom-1988-candy-apple-red-great-neck-all-original Selling my Hamer Chaparral Custom in candy apple red. Production year is 1988. It is the top of line model with a set neck design. Maple neck with the coolest inlay in industry (IMO), real mother of pearl boomerang, thick ebony fingerboard, and Honduran mahogany body. The famous stadium logo. Bill Lawrence OBL pickups, Hamer branded Schaller floyd rose bridge. Tremolo arm is included. All parts are factory original. A Gator hardshell case in excellent condition is included. Its neck is beefier than most chaparrals I've encountered; I would call it round C. Unlike typical shredder Hamer neck profiles, this one is very comfortable to play. Some paint checking lines and wear but still in perfect working shape. No broken headstock, etc. Please see the pictures for more details.
Drew816 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 This would be a 25.5" scale, correct? Cool axe!
thunderbolt Posted September 26, 2018 Author Posted September 26, 2018 This one has a 25.5" scale. I've owned a 86' Chaparral before but prefer the snappy feel of 25.5." Also think single coils work better on a longer scale. Just my personal preference.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I have it's 1988 twin in Ice Pearl and it's neck profile sounds similar - it's a monster. That is one bad-ass guitar. GLWTS.
thunderbolt Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 Sold to stratacus. Glad it stays within the family!
