This beast is local to me, and I wish that it was in my budget, but alas! Not to be (right now anyway).  GLWTS

Dave's right...probably won't get any takers with that kind of shipping cost. The most I've seen is $85-$100.

$570 Shipping?.. are you renting an armored car for delivery?

That is over night and insured cross country. If someone wants less, that's their business and I pointed that out in the shipping terms. And it states that is an estimate, and actual shipping will be paid. Any time we do a deal here the buyer pays actual shipping based on what they want to do, right? The reverb site is not different.....

From the ad: " I will ship with tracking to the listed regions. Shipping Estimation to Massachusetts. Buyer will pay actual shipping costs. Shipping estimate is for Next Day Air and insured for the value of the guitar.
To negotiate shipping rates to other locations, please send me a message. "

I'm just trying to help... Most people would put an estimated shipping quote via FedEx ground or similar & offer overnight shipping as an option... as that will surely scare most people away... when I see a high shipping cost next to the item, I naturally think it's a remote location overseas or some sort of a scam & never bother to go any further into the listing... just look at other listings to see what I mean

Thanks Buddy! I've never done the reverb thing before. I'm actually on a chat with them right now about best practices. I appreciate your input.

So they recommended slow shipping and changing the policy to point out it's slow and uninsured. And that you can buy protection and faster. So, that puts this at 75.00

But you know that no one in their right mind is going for that.

What I do is pick the farthest shipping point" within conus USA" with dimensions and weight with insurance to get the estimate... (for you maybe New York).. Then post that shipping quote...

Thier shipping estimator within the ad said anywhere in the CONUS. but did't add and insurance estimate.

Typically, when I buy online I provide my own shipping label. That way it's my speed, insured, and priced.

Yeah me too "if the seller is willing"
