PSA: Multiple Vintage Hammond Organs At DGS

No affiliation. This showed up on the DGS website today. After seeing Velorush's Wurlitzer post, I'd thought I'd post this for anyone with a jones for a B3...or a divorce :rolleyes: ("But honey, it's cheaper than a '59 LP CS RI!" Just don't mention the cost of packing and shipping via Freight). On the plus side, you could turn the shipping crate into a "Tiny House" to live in afterward: :lol:

Missing the pedals, maybe no big deal. Decent price. I remember back in the day several bands hauling those around! We hauled a M100 and a Leslie 900 around for a couple of years, that was bad enough! I had the opportunity to get a C3 (larger cabinet) for free a year ago. A church down state was giving it away for the haul. Still kicking myself.

Hmm...I forgot about the pedals, D'Oh! I can't tell what it's got underneath from the photos. It's not mentioned in the listing, but it's worth asking about in case it has them.

The keyboard player in the band I was in back in the late '70s - early '80s had a chopped B3 (no legs, no pedals) and a Leslie we used to haul around to all of our gigs. Most of the gigs were in tiny bars, bowling alleys, etc. with equally tiny stages. He also had some type of electric piano and an Arp synth. It's hard for me to imagine now just how much stuff we would schlep around, back when we all had good backs.

As an organ player who uses the pedals myself, I would say that "missing the pedals" is a HUGE deal. By the way, I cannot believe that you passed up a free C3! They are awesome! I got a free R-100 a few years ago (the last of the tonewheel organs), and I harvested the pedalboard for my Nord electronic organ, and I removed and sold the internal Leslie.

Same here. I played with a guy for a short time in the 80s that had an UNchopped Hammond (I think it was a C2) and a Leslie. It sounded awesome but man oh man was that setup heavy. Especially that time we had to carry it up a flight of stairs.
