Hamiltone!

I knew Jim through my buddy Chris Lukasik.  They both lived in Vero Beach for years.  I owned one of his "Have Mercy" guitars as well as a "Stevie Ray Vaughan" model.  They all got away in the early nineties (I had to raise my kids!).  So, this one popped up and I thought I should grab it.

Beauty! Great lines on that one. Didn't Mark Erlewine make similar models for SRV and ZZTop, or were those Hamiltones, too?

Erlewine had his own thing going that looked a bit similar, but BFG commissioned custom orders from both builders.

I don't know.  The other Hamiltone's I owned were about nine pounds because of all the maple.  I know Jim didn't have anything to do with this guitar, but it's spec'd out exactly.

Yup.  I had an Erlewine Automatic "Have Mercy" that I sold to Peter Fung all those years ago.  I think I sold him a Hamiltone too.  Stupid stupid.
