Gorgeous Chaparral Bass

A beauty! Pretty light weight for a solid maple bass.

That one is primo, and the gold hardware works on it.

I like the gold hardware against the color of the body and also how the medium brown rosewood fretboard blends in.

Although, I never liked the sound of an all maple instrument.

I have a beater Chaparral bass with maple like that.  It feels good when I play it.  

Somebody needs to grab that one on Rwverb.  You will be happy.

The Chap basses are always good. I should have kept the red sparkle bolt-on that I paid about $110 for ages ago, had re-fretted, and then sold for something like $250 a couple of years later (I just remembered I know a guy who might know the guy I sold it to...).  I still have the one in my profile pic, it makes me not care about the red sparkle one very much.

 I still have my setneck Chap5 (Barts, dots) in 'iridescent', it might actually be worth more than I paid for it in the mid '90s!
