Yep, has the sculpted heel.

This one has the most beautifully streaked (dark/light) koa I've ever seen on a Mirage and I'ved owned and seen many.

If someone can host the pics for me I'll send them to you. I appreciate it.

Thanks,

Frank

I think someone stated that the Mirage shares the body style with the Watson??

Yea, that was Serial.

These are awesome guitars!

It's pretty close. The horns are a bit sexier on the watson. I does share some features like the heel blend and the belly cut.

Do these Mirage guitars sound as good as the Sunburst/ Studios for sustain etc. Also ive noticed one of them (Mirage 2) has a stronger looking heel joint any reason why? do the Mirage 1 break at the heel?

The Mirage I sounds great, but not the same as a Suburst/Studio. The Mirage sounds more like a true cross between a Strat and a Les Paul, pretty much a perfect balance of the two. Sustain is great, but they're a little brighter and snappier than the Sunbursts/Studios. The neck joint is plenty strong. It's a set neck like the Mirage II and other Hamers, just with a blended heel that looks and feels a lot smoother/cleaner.

I don't know for sure, but I imagine the heel joint was changed to save money/time. They probably figured changing it wouldn't make anyone NOT buy the guitar and it would save them some money, so they did.
