shankyboy Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 I have been eying one of these for quite awhile but the new price was too steep for me. I saw this used one for sale on Reverb posted by The Tone Shop in Addison, TX. As luck would have it, I landed a small job in Ft Worth and went up yesterday to do the work. We finished up early so I had time to head over and check it out. Needless to say, it sounds fantastic so I brought it home. An additional plus was that Blues badass, Pat Boyack, works there so I was treated to several hilarious stories about his time in Phoenix when he played for a mutual friend out there. I played the amp for a couple of hours last night and I am so happy I made the purchase. I can't wait to gig with it.
donner Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Congrats, you're a lucky bugger! The Twilighter Stereo is on my bucket list as well. I've snagged a Bartel Sugarland, lately, that I'm still waiting to pick up at the seller's. B/c of mutual vacations etc. it will take another 3 weeks or so, still. Meanwhile, I watched nearly any Sugarland-video on YT, and can literally sing all the noodling I've heard there by heart...

I had never heard of Bartel before so I just I went to the site and now I am intrigued. I love the vintage TV look of the cabinet from the front. The Roseland has all the features I prefer in an amp. Congrats on your score too.

Brooks Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Cool amp. I went to U of N Tx w/ Tommy Roberts who is one of the Tone Shop owners.

So I am very curious to hear your opinion about it. Gabe 😀
tbonesullivan Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 The stereo pitch shifting vibrato is something that I have always wanted to experience, however I've never gotten a chance. How is it?

How is it? I am really enjoying it. Low speed with high intensity is really cool for a ballad type blues. You can feel the sound move left & right.
