Jimbilly Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 So new that I haven't even tried it out yet, it lit up at the store, worth a try. I stepped into a little used record store in an out of the way 'mall' this afternoon, not expecting to find anything. It was very very attractively priced, and had been reduced from a previously very attractive price, so apparently it has been there a while. I think this is a Vox logo'd Univox U45, 12" Jensen speaker looks old, power cord looks newer 3 prong, plenty of spider webs in the chassis. Sounds great! so far, it seems like the Champ with a 12" speaker that I always wanted.

Dutchman Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Is that speaker a C12N? They have a great guitar voice!

I have read that it's 8 watts. I was running it stereo along with that little custom tube head I have: bassman type pre and single octal champ type power section into a closed back 1x12, and it sounds dreamy, really good.
Dutchman Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I don't see it listed?? https://www.jensentone.com/search?search-value=C12S

Disturber Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Cool amp. Congrats! Is it open like that underneath the circuit, or have you removed a cover to take the pic? I would not want to stick my hand in there in a dark club looking for my lost pic, my weed, or a pair of ladies underwear that some beauty threw on the stage - and get electrocuted.
DaveH Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 This might come in handy, if it is indeed a U45.
topekatj Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 love the red chicken head knobs! And accordion input.
Jimbilly Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 looks like they did one for Radio Shack https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/msg/d/portland-1969-realistic-15w-tube/7680551054.html
