  1. That is good to know.
  2. Sent my deposit via PayPal yesterday. Now I just need to decide on the finish, perhaps match the Standard on the cover of "The Book" or let Mike do what the guitar tells him or...... Color has never been a big factor in guitar purchase decisions since I am a lefty. We usually just gotta take what we find.
  3. Woohoo indeed I just got my confirmation email and my deposit will be on it's way soon. Big thanks to Mike for being willing to do a lefty this early in the game.
  4. That is why I left almost everything as "other" on the dropdowns. I want mine to be what Mike thinks these Ultimates should be.....cept for the lefty part. I just put a little note in the comments that I was not married to any of the options I chose. ETA: on another note: this would be the perfect 50th birthday present! I just turned 50 on Saturday so I agree. Damn where did the last 20 years go ?

  6. Well, I filled out a mostly blank on the options quote. I did that to hold me a spot in case he will do a lefty. We can hammer out the details if he says YES, but I pretty much want it to be his vision of what he thinks these 12 Ultimates should be......just as a lefty.
  7. I sent him a message on his site wondering if he would do one the 12 Ultimates as a lefty....if so; I am in.
  8. You can still watch it if you follow this link.... http://www.cbs.com/shows/liveonletterman/artist/190885/kiss/ They usually keep the shows available online for quite awhile.
  9. You are referring to what is known as a load coil. It is basically an inductor, not an amplifier. The most common type is the H88, meaning it has 88 mH of inductance. The first one is placed 3000 ft from the telephone office and then they are placed every 6000 ft after that. Their purpose is to combat the loss of high frequencies in the voice band by adding inductance to cancel the capacitive effects of long cable runs. A phone line will work just fine without load coils up to around 18,000 ft out though. If you have DSL then the load coils have been removed from your line. We do use a product known as "smart coils" if you have DSL and are more than 18,000 ft from the DSLAM.
  10. HRTATAK is the license plate that I put on the meanest of the Mustangs that I own. In Illinois you can have a maximum of 7 letters on a car plate. It means heart attack. The best way to stop a heartbeat(Chevy). The plate has been on a Vortech supercharged 90 Saleen since 94; but was recently transferred to a stupid BIG horsepower KB'd 07 Shelby GT500. I also have a 84 SVO. I hate to think of how many Stangs that I have owned through the years. Most of the time I will have 3 and sometimes up to 6. If ya own several of them, then at least one of them is running.
  11. Van Halen's cover of You're No Good.
  12. Good stuff...I will be buying it when it comes out.
  13. Wow take care and be thankful that it wasn't any worse. Here's to a speedy recovery.
  14. My picks showed up in the mail today. Thanks Chris
  15. Email sent !!!
  16. 2112 was the first RUSH album I ever bought. I must have liked it cause I have a copy of every album and DVD they have out.
  17. The big brown truck showed up with a HUGE brown box today. Thanks for selling me the FBIV.
  18. --> QUOTE(David B @ Apr 16 2009, 11:22 PM) ← My bass player is a lefty. I wish he'd get that FBIV. Too late It is on the way to me.
  19. Any of them with cookie monster vocals.
  20. I will take 80's music over 90's music damn near every time. 80's music was about having a good time and 90's music was stare at your shoes and whine about stuff because your uncle molested you as a kid. BTW No offense to anyone that has happened to.
  21. I have a M100 and really like it. They are not a turn it on and go amp though. You need to spend a lot of time twiddling the knobs and using the push-pull pots and get acquainted with the amp. Barely move a knob and it changes things greatly. There are a ton of great sounds in them but ya gotta get used to how the controls work to find them. When I first got mine I found it was helpful to use the manual to get you in the ballpark and tweak from there.
  22. Fair Warning or the 1st one
  23. or Ty Tabor of King's X.
  24. Jill(number 13) the short blond gal that sang the Janice Joplin song is a backup singer for Trans Siberian Orchestra. She has a set of pipes. It is kinda sad if those are the best 15 singers that they could come up with.
