  1. I had an OFR on an import Cali. I removed the OFR (and nut) & replaced with a FR Special (the Special is supposed to be identical in size). I didn't find this with the lock-nut & have had to shim it. My action is low & the bridge on the SDpwecial is set the same as the OFR was. I never expected the nut to be smaller tbh - but it is...
  2. I can help you out on shims. I just bought some of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Locking-Nut-Shim-Set-for-Floyd-Rose-Locking-Nut-/350534259533?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item519d78534d Priceless!
  3. I got my import Hamer Cali from a noob here a few weeks ago. it's fabulous. Not all people are the same. Just saying like, no offence meant...
  4. Funny how the idiots always post those kinda pictures. Especially those who try to pull a fast one & think they got away with it. Do not underestimate anyone on the internet friend. You never 'quite' know who you are dealing with...
  5. Guy's a sick mother-fkr! Using his family for sick excuses. I seriously hope you get you 30 bucks & can put this cr@p behind you dude
  6. Not all newbies are like this. Here's the MIK Cali I bought from newie Cullen 6 weeks ago
  7. +1 I bought 2 guitars here & 1 from a newbie. Not a hitch with either deals & very pleased with the purchases...
  8. Have you tried it out yet, Vic? I had a WD Tremolo Stabilizer installed in my Jackson, and it improved tuning stability a little, but not completely. The one you're suggesting looks good, but I don't want to drop any more coin on something unless I'm sure it works. No, I've never installed it but it WILL do what you want. It will disable the capability of pulling back on the trem. Once it's blocked, you over-tighten the springs that are attched to the claw. Your trem will be in 'divebomb' mode only & will always return to pitch due to the extra tension on the springs beneath the body. It is a foolproof/failsafe method...
  9. I bought one of these - it'll do the job well http://www.floydupgrades.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=70&products_id=191&zenid=refge17lu8ein7rlaube7jthf2
  10. Hey BK... Been a Hamer nut since 84 when they appeared in a local music shop around the time I was learning to play. The shop let me (a young punk) play their guitars as I couldn't afford one. I'm from Nottingham btw (and a Leeds United fan)...
  11. Thanks for the info guys I am actually tempted but I prefer Floyded guitars so don't think I'll bid. I know it'll be good though...
  12. Anyone know what US model this is based on? I know I'm ignorant as I only buy FR'd guitars. Someone must know. Is it a Special? http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqUOKkEE...o!~~_12.JPG
  13. I suggested it's likely built between 92-96 at either the Cort or Samick factory (due to SLAMMER SERIES beneath the large HAMER logo).
  14. I sent the seller all the info I have on this but what model is it? LINK
  15. I was thinking about it too but as (for some reason) I cannot contact the seller for international shipping (believe me I have tried & tried but eBay won't let me), I'm skipping this. I think I'll keep saving for a US Cali instead...
