  1. $350-$600 on my main 2. I just scored a BC Rich Mockingbird ST (in Trans-Blue/thru-neck/FR/MAFIA p-ups) for £240 ($370) on eBay UK. I also have a Peavey Rotor EXP (Pearl White Explorer) which cost me $360 & I'm customizing an Ibanez RG (cost $120) = I already sold the neck + EMG 81 for over $250 on that one. The Ibanez is getting a new neck/pick-ups/electrics & will be stripped back to the wood... Just got the Mockingbird today & I must say, it's a peach! Not sure about the Rockfield MAFIA pick-ups yet but it deffo RAWKS (NGD thread coming soon)... The most expensive guitar I ever bought was a Jackson DK2M in Snow White which I got in the sales (with free moulded case) at $765. Good guitar but not in my top 3 (Top 3: 88 Cali / Peavey EXP / BC Rich Mockingbird). I don't believe expensive is best. In fact, most of the best guitars (apart from my Cali) have been sub $400 Korean imports...
  2. If the first 2 dib-out, I'll take it!!! I'm in the UK though...
  3. I personally wouldn't have gone much over 500 Euro's for a Diablo (considering I got my 'all original' 88 Cali w/case for 450 Euro) but if you like it so much, price isn't an issue...
  4. Meh, who cares? Someone sell me a Cali w/boomers PS: I agree, Hamer is gone (but never forgotten)
  5. Microwaves are bad STAT! Not got one. Got no TV, read no newspapers, watch no news on the net, I is vegan. Jus' playin' me some toons day after day after day after day... My life's great
  6. Now that Hamer is 'on permanent hiatus', I would think one could design and produce any headstock logo decals and transfers without restrictions? FLICK Fender = do it...
  7. Then you, sir, are just no fucking fun. That's so funny
  8. Very sad but all good things etc... I heard this news from a guy I was trading with on eBay (he bailed on a deal but that's OK). I consider myself very fortunate to now have an 88 Cali & a 92 Cent. I could have never afforded one of these new. I fell in love with Hamer guitars around 1984 when they were displayed in a local music shop (Foulds Music in Nottingham, UK). As a kid & before I started my band 'Concrete Sox', the guys at Foulds used to let me go down to the basement & plug in a guitar or 2 if no-one was about (I couldn't even play that well). Great times, great memories. Everytime I play my Hamers now, I will try to remember where/when/how I got to know Hamer... PS: I don't care whether the prices plummet or rocket - I'll never sell mine...
  9. I recorded our 1st (and heaviest) album on a cheap strat copy (3 x SCs). Of copurse I'm all HBs now but I have nothing against SCs (I just don't have 'em)...
  10. That's awesome man & I know how you feel... My Cali is in bits at the mo. I'm oiling/polishing the neck right now. I've stripped & rebuilt the trem with new saddle screws (looks almost new). I've taken out all rusty screws & replaced 'em with new ones. I polished the guitar. I'll re-string & setup later once I've finished this neck. You know how it is = these things take time. Then, I'll be plugging into my JCM & having a fkn burnout
  11. Haha! I'm the same with my new Cali = I was up at 6.30 this morning & ran downstairs to look at it
  12. That's so forking awesome!
  13. I love to see a zebra pup in the neck posish = I did the same on my Dean ML..
  14. Your not gonna break strings pulling up if you tune to D as I do...
  15. Nice looker but wrong time for me dude (just snagged a Cali in the UK this weekend)...
  16. Never had a prob with tone but then again, I've only ever really played Floyded guitars. Of course, I use distortion FX boxes so mebbe dunno what I'm missing...
  17. He's trying to find out when you're gonna be outta the house (maybe)...
  18. Just to be safe, I recommend mixing all the ingredients in the link above & chucking 'em all in. Can't fail...
  19. Leave in the sun? Best hope he's not in England then!
  20. Yeah, that's right! All 6 foot 5 inches of the woman hating thug. He looked about 6.3mm when he came face to face with me...
  21. Great story & we're so pleased for you both Mines similar but not quite guitar related. I met my Canadian wife 43 months ago online when I was looking for a certain song (Can't Cheat Karma) in Soulseek. The weird thing is, one of my fave punk bands of all time is Discharge (I was living at the vocalists house at the time). Michèles username was 'dischargette' - that's fkn weird. I kinda gathered she was a she & she liked Discharge (not that - the band). So, we got talking. We hit it off before we even knew what each other looked like... To cut a long story short, Michèle ditched her boyfriend, quit school & work & came to England in March 2009. We've been together ever since & were married on March 21st this year in my home town of Nottingham, UK... You can't cheat Karma
  22. That won't work. They have to be online at Photobucket or somewhere...
