An absolute steal. I couldn't resist the ebony fretboard and full binding. Plus, I was thinking about trying out the Fillmores that are in my Mirage II in my '04 Studio Custom anyway, so this save me the effort. It will be fun comparing Studio Customs with identical somewhat-unusual specs and seeing which one comes out on top. -Austin Had I not just purchased two expensive guitars (and sold only one.....) That's what I was afraid of... If it's good it's good. But sometimes I get ahead of myself and didn't want to regret the purchase later. I think I know some guy's that would swoop it up for me if I change my mind. Thanks again AdmiralB. Where was the Marshall? If at GC, my bass player works there.

Were you looking at a 2 input master volume amp? I have a 50 watt JMP, but it's a 4 input, non-master, head. Great amp, but you have to crank it! I was playing through a 2553 head when you saw me Friday night.

I hear ya. Not sure about the ones with synth electronics, but look for one with a 3 on a side headstock. I've had a few of those that had nice beefier necks.

Synth controls. It's beat up. Skinny neck (yuck). Needs a complete setup (I didnt bother due to the skinny neck.) If you're selling the Salmon Artist, I want it. Get in line! LOL... No, that's a lifer I believe. I know that when I'm too old for the band I'm in ..... wait.... when they realize that I'm too old for the band I'm in, I'm sure I'll be in a band playing R&B, oldies, standards and classics again and the salmon blush artist custom will again become my #1 for gigging. I'll have to decide at some point if the ultimate leaves the house..... Maybe for the right, safe, gig......

Thanks for the heads up Austin! Most Hamers don't interest me anymore, but I've wanted an Ultimate since I first saw one at the factory at my first open house. I just figured I'd never find one at a price I'd be willing to pay, but this one worked out great. I gotta sell some stuff....

I had one. Heavy bugger. It's supposed to be fendery clean and marshally gain. I never heard that in it. I never "got" the ninja boost and was never able to make it work for me. Lots of pull/push pots for additional options. Frankly, too many for me. Decent reverb, but nothing great or special. Built like a tank. Reliable. They sell pretty cheap used (I think there was one on Craigslist in Columbus last week). If you can make the sounds work for you, go for it.

You forgot to mention neck carve. I played a Mira and thought it was pretty cool. Kind of like their SG or Special, but more versatile.

Nice box... heh heh.... I actually don't mind the lunchbox look and while the case isn't as nice as the Crate Powerblock's, it'll do. Not sure if I'll gig it as I'm quite happy with my L6 Spidervalve. Go ahead, laugh. :-) Thanks for the info Dave!

I'm guessing I should have held onto my PlexiTone as I heard one in front of an AC30 and it sounded great. I got mine dirt cheap and it sounded like ass, but I can't remember what I plugged it into. Seemed like a great concept with lousy tone, but apparently I plugged it into the wrong thing! So Dave, are you running the TT clean or with a bit of gain or what? And if clean, what kind of settings and did you swap tubes? Thanks
