  1. Any interest in working a tour of Playboy HQ into your itinerary? I doubt it, but I thought I'd be polite and ask ...
  2. I'll be the Thelma to your Louise. Ask BadgerDave and SirDan ... I'm loads of fun on a road trip!
  3. More like Saddam Hussein's underwear drawer.
  4. F'n Dick Tracy!

  6. I've been screwed once each on my mortgage payment (which has to travel about 3 miles) and my credit card payment. No more. Now I take the mortgage check straight to the drive-thru teller and I pay my credit cards online. Still, that's only twice USPS has messed up for me, but in the two worst possible ways. Of course it couldn't have happened with my phone or cable bills. Who gives a good god damn if those arrive on time?
  7. Get well soon. Let me know if he needs any magazines or DVDs.
  8. I absolutely love Weather Report. Jaco Pastorius was a master. Pam (Cheap Chick) is a big fan also.
  9. Great ones Poe! "Ah...Leah!" is one of my favorite songs ever.
  10. Taxxi--Early MTV band. Kinda power pop. Their "States of Emergency" album is great. .38 Special's Danny Chauncey and "Americal Idol" judge Randy Jackson played on it. New American Shame--Second coming of Bon Scott-era AC/DC. Their self-titled release is this generation's "Highway to Hell." 10 kickass rockers, not a dog in the bunch.

  12. Today's emo kids certainly buy their pants there. I'd have to shop in the maternity section ...
  13. There was/is a shop on Halsted in Chicago called 99th Floor where I used to get all my cool stage shirts including this one: Not surprisingly, the shop is smack dab in the middle of Boys Town.
  14. Granny panties ... it figures.
  15. POW! LOL Edited to add: no fair editing, HHB!
  16. Is that true? My understanding was that it is Kaman's company, and Frank runs it. I though Jol was kind of a consultant. That's not a beef, it's an honest question. Well he must have some clout if the approach is "Jol doing whatever Jol feels like doing on any given day" as you say it is.
  17. I don't. Just kickin' up some dust on a Friday, that's all. But maybe "Jol doing whatever Jol feels like doing on any given day" is EXACTLY what Hamer wants to be. And he knows that full well. More power to him; it's his company. As far as "what he did or said yesterday doesn't mean anything anymore," sometimes in business you have to go in a different direction in spite of what you may have said in the past. That's the DOWNSIDE of Hamer being so open with us. They tell us things, the business climate changes, opportunities come up, and they have to do something contrary to what they told us. Other companies don't have to worry about this because they don't grant their customers and fans that kind of access. If shred suddenly had a resurgence of popularity along the lines of the grunge explosion, you can bet your ass the Calis and Diablos would be rolling out of Hartford en masse. I doubt you'd be bitching, but SOMEONE sure as hell would be labelling Jol a "sell out."
  18. 100% in agreement with you, Admiral! Too bad you're both wrong.
  19. That ain't gonna happen...well, not until a group of dealers convinces Hamer to make a limited run with the 'old style' non-dovetail neck joint (you know, simple construction done right). LOL! Color the Admiral pissed!
  20. I'd love to see that. I just got a new computer at the cafe. I'll check and see if it has DVD burning capabilities.
  21. Are you serious? Carr was terrible. What's with hitting a rack tom every time he hit the damn snare? Terrible. "I Love It Loud" was his "When the Levee Breaks." Everything else? Crap.
  22. I believe it was AdmiralB who burned this one for me a few years ago. Jake's stuff with Ozzy never did anything for me (like Hamer95USA said, too many gott-damn effects) but the Badlands debut is the shit. And how about some props for Eric Singer? GREAT drummer. Hell, he even made post-makeup Kiss a legitimately tough rock'n'roll band on "Revenge." Eric Carr ... feh. Too busy, and not in a good Mitch Mitchell/Keith Moon sorta way.
  23. Bring it by on Sunday. There are some Strat fans who would love to take a crack at that thing.
  24. Great score Bill. I had my eye on that one too but I just ain't a single coil guy.
