  1. Haha. True. Also didn’t gibson sell this model as a limited edition a few years ago? I know I’ve seen it before now b
  2. I like the heritage cherry one. But I guess I’m a weirdo. I wouldn’t pay ridiculous gibson prices for one though, especially considering any number of awesome hamers that could be bought for that price.
  3. Half my Hamer usa have had Hamer sil screened but not USA on it. All have been made in Canada tkl. Seems like a great price for a tkl case.
  4. These are awesome. The fact they call them a kit is almost a shame since they’re such a big step up in quality over any other kit.
  5. Were the bcr juniors numbered? the one I picked up is Transparent orange 2004 thin headstock strip tuners modified pickguard
  6. It is. And that’s why I decided to keep it. The special is still for sale.
  7. Also up for grabs is another PGK which is a 58 dc Junior (special I guess) style. I put it together 7 years ago. dual humbuckers (old Duncan JB bridge and 59 neck ) emerson pro vintage taper pots except bridge volume is an alpja with a coil split switch I can put a CTs back there if you want, just won’t coil split mahogany body maple top maple neck and ebony board with crowns slim taper 60’s profile. grover keystone tuners and faber aluminum compensated wraparound Had schallers on it originally. Too heavy for the neck So there’s some extra holes from those Has an extra hole in the lower bout when I was playing around with strap position. finished with tru oil. First I dyed the top and then applied around 30 thin coats to it. I left the pores open on the mahogany. It was sanded levels buffed to quite a gloss on the maple neck and top but has more of a semi-gloss sheen these days. Fair amount of worming and play wear on it and a couple small dings. Just not as hard a finish as a nitro or poly guitar. Biggest thing was the maple top got a very small crack between the post hole and the humbucker route when I removed the bushing once. $750 + shipping cost to HFC members PayPal f&f (or you pay fees) or money order
  8. Very nice. Isn’t it technically a Studio? Even says so on the COA
  9. As a new bcr owner and someone who bought a set of tv Jones classics during their winter scratch/dent sale I find this very interesting.
  10. Good catch. I’d assume the only way to proceed on this one for a buyer would be pickup in person and pay at pickup.
  11. Your photos show the top show much better than the ad. Usually the case with Hamers. Congrats
  12. One of the only vintage guitars I’ve ever really wanted was a 59/60 Les Paul Junior dc in Cherry. I like the rounded edges of those years. Always hard to justify the price on those and I’ve never wanted to really get into the vintage market. Lot of pitfalls there. I think this will scratch that itch quite nicely. The orange does looks so good in person and really looks almost like a faded cherry. Even the SO thought it looks awesome. Sound wise this thing crushes. It has a Wolfe tone meaner in it. What an awesome p90.
  13. Thin headstock check. vintage style strip tuners check. vintage orange check. Lightweight mahogany check. aluminum wraparound check. this fell into my lap and I couldn’t pass it up. Especially after regretting not getting one of the Cherry ones for sale 2 years ago. After 2 days of possession this is making me question some other guitars I thought were solid keepers
  14. Hot damn that’s a good looking guitar annd the price can’t be beat! And Gravelin charlottes(my favorite pickup)! Too bad I just bought a Hamer Jr.
  15. Somebody wanted the Hamer bass headstock on a guitar? Isn’t that the headstock used on the b12s and such?
  16. Nice. I saw that pop up on reverb and realized what it was even though it wasn’t labeled as a triple threat. Glad someone here scored it. Congrats. I just scored a limited Hamer recently and can’t wait for delivery.
  17. Well for anyone curious to the original question, on a new Mann made sustainblock from base to the top of the saddle in its lowest position measures .555 inch. +/- .001 inch.
