The 60s necks ARE bigger than the LP Classic necks. Not sure what the guy wants money wise, but if it's around $2K spend a little more and get a 57 Reissue Historic LP.

Yep, the recent Guitar World with EVH on the cover (plastic surgery anyone???) clearly says the PAF in Eddie's Frankenstrat currently measures 0 ohms.

Holy crap! What a freekin MONSTER! I think this Standard Custom is one of the top two guitars I ever owned. As Nick pointed out, totally lightweight but has more massive tone than I remember. Fat-ass neck and the WCRs are just icing on the cake. I've owned way more guitars than I care to admit, and this one just flat out rocks my world. Wow. I may end up selling off most everything and sticking with Hamers for good (errrr, don't hold me to that ok? ).

I am beyond pleased to buy back a 59 burst Standard Custom I originally bought new from Elduave a couple of years back. A big thanks to sw686blue for selling it back to me. Just tracked it and if all goes well, it will be in my possession some time today. It's one of those "why the HELL did I ever sell that guitar" and to get it back is just too freekin' cool. If it's all I remember (and I have no reason to believe it isn't), I'll be putting up the 80 Special on the for sale block as I just won't need that one, which was truly an impulse buy. I can't believe I waited all this time to get back into Hamers.

ddrum has some cool lower end acoustic kits out, complete with hardware, for less than $500. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing a set myself.

Schecter makes the "symbol" guitars for the USA market, although I know Edwards clones them and are sometimes available on ebay.

Man, I watch Purple Rain every three months or so and it NEVER gets old.
