I've been at GC for over a year and a half...bottom line is, they treat their employees like shit but will bend over for the customer. My boss once gave a guy a Les Paul Standard over customer service issues...I can't say that I've seen that happen at mom and pop stores. Sure the radio ads are gay, I hate hearing them and having to remember them, but they point is to really get first-time buyers in, and it works a lot of times. I made ok money there for where I'm at in my life right now, but I don't see myself staying there for any kind of career. However, it is good to know that if I wanted to I could move up somewhat quickly. But alas it is not for me I fear.

I'd invite all the members of Hopesfall, One Amazin Kid, Cambridge, Ten Missing Days, and the Verdict, because there is no one that I'd rather hang with than my friends in local bands.

Last night I used my Gibson Melody Maker (2003 model) at a show for the first time, going into my usual rig (Boss TU2, E-H Small Stone, Ibanez CS9, Line 6 DL4, into a Dual Rectifier) and I didn't have too many problems....if the buzz got too loud I'd just pull the volume down. Most of the time I was playing thru channel 3 on the Dual Rec set to the Modern voicing. I think having nice quiet cables helps too.

Someone said HUM!! I LOVE HUM!! I've been listening to Downward is Heavenward twice a day for the past week or so now. I'd also like to add Sticks & Stones and Lifetime to the list.

My tech at work told me to use naptha, but a good buddy of mine used linseed oil on my old Jackson with a great result (ebony fretboard). I think the thing with linseed oil is though, that you have to make sure you clean the excess oil off real well.

That's a sweet looking guitar. I've had a serious jonesing for something in a tobacco burst for a few weeks now.
